Kent Local Medical Committee in Strood is seeking a GP to join a welcoming team dedicated to patient-centred care for a population of around 7,000. The role offers flexible and supportive working arrangements with a focus on annual and study leave, and minimal administrative burden outside clinical sessions.
You will join a dynamic partnership with mentorship and development opportunities, supported by a multidisciplinary team and a culture of collaboration and wellbeing.
We are a welcoming, forward-thinking practice in Strood seeking an enthusiastic GP to join our team and help deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to our population of approximately 7,000 patients.
We pride ourselves on providing an environment where clinicians can focus on what matters most: caring for patients. Our systems and workflows have been carefully designed to ensure that clinical and administrative responsibilities remain manageable, with minimal expectation for significant administrative work outside of clinical sessions. We also benefit from a very low home visiting commitment.
We recognise that today’s GPs value flexibility, autonomy and a healthy work-life balance. We therefore take a supportive and facilitative approach to annual leave and study leave requests and can offer flexibility around session timings to accommodate personal commitments, including family and childcare responsibilities.
The practice is led by a dynamic, approachable and highly experienced GP partnership that provides readily accessible support, mentorship and extensive knowledge of both primary care and the wider healthcare system. Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced GP, you will be joining a team that is committed to your professional development and wellbeing.
You will work alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team including Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Phlebotomists. This is complemented by a dedicated and well-trained administrative team whose primary objective is to minimise unnecessary clinician workload while ensuring patients receive an excellent standard of care.
We are open to discussing between 4 and 8 clinical sessions per week, with additional sessions available for those seeking a larger commitment. We also welcome conversations with GPs pursuing portfolio careers.
