Job summary

Oakham Medical Practice and Market Overton and Somerby Surgeries have a vacancy for an enthusiastic GP to join us on a salaried basis, for 6-8 sessions. This role will be based across Market Overton & Somerby Surgeries and Oakham Medical Practice.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
• Inclusion on (or eligible for) NHS England Medical Performers List.
• Ability to assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of conditions autonomously.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional conduct.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• Understanding of QOF, safeguarding responsibilities, clinical governance, and NHS primary care processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality clinical care through a mix of face to face and remote consultations.
• Manage a varied patient caseload and contribute to ongoing care of individuals with acute and long-term conditions.
• Prescribe safely, maintain accurate clinical records, and adhere to current evidence-based guidelines.
• Work collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team, participate in clinical meetings, and support development and improvement of practice services.
