Job summary

West View Millennium Surgery in Hartlepool is seeking a Salaried GP to join a friendly, forward-thinking team. The role offers 6–8 sessions (negotiable) with strong mentoring, support for professional development, and opportunities to teach GP registrars and medical students.

Newly qualified GPs are welcome and will receive supervision and mentoring within a collaborative practice that values wellbeing, patient-centred care, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and eligibility to practise in the UK are essential.
• Inclusion on NHS Performers List is required.
• MRCGP along with CCT or equivalent is preferred.
• Appropriate medical defence indemnity is required.

Responsibilities

• Routine and urgent GP consultations.
• Long-term condition management.
• Home visits on a shared basis.
• Participation in the duty doctor rota.
• Managing clinical correspondence, referrals and prescriptions.
• Supporting clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Working with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient care.
• Contributing to education and teaching activities where appropriate.
