A healthcare charity in Manchester is seeking a salaried GP to join their multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering primary care services within HMP Forest Bank, with responsibilities including full clinical assessments, chronic disease management, and collaboration with allied health professionals. We are a values-based company with the patient at the heart of what we do. We aim to achieve quantifiable impact and are looking for GPs who are committed to our cause to join us. We are looking for a salaried GP to join our MDT consisting of a variety of allied healthcare professionals (mental health workers, pharmacists, ANPs etc.) to deliver a primary care clinic within HMP Forest Bank. A session consists of 8 appointments (15 mins long) and are face to face. Presentations are as with community primary care as we are aiming to deliver “equivalence of care” within our clinics. No prior prison experience is required as you will be given the training required for the role although prior experience is preferable. The GP most suited to this role is someone passionate about reducing health, with GPs required to provide reception cover from 5pm-9pm Monday to Friday (to be discussed). The post holder will provide face-to-face clinical services including the medical component of prison reception assessment care, appointed, unscheduled and emergency care services to inpatient and segregation unit.
