Job summary

Newtown Medical Practice in Wales is inviting a Salaried GP to join our friendly, forward‑thinking team for 6‑8 sessions per week. You will provide high‑quality, patient‑centred care to our registered and temporary population, with face‑to‑face consultations, remote contacts, home visits where appropriate, and the signing of repeat prescriptions.

Our multidisciplinary team supports clinicians to deliver excellent patient care while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance.

Responsibilities

• Face-to-face surgery consultations
• Telephone and remote consultations
• Home visits where clinically appropriate
• Reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions
• Managing clinical correspondence, referrals, results and associated paperwork in a timely manner
• Making autonomous clinical decisions regarding presenting problems
• Assessing and managing patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions
• Identifying disease risk factors and early signs of illness
• Developing personalised care plans in partnership with patients
• Referring patients appropriately to community and secondary care services
• Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team
• Undertaking the full range of duties expected of a GP working within primary care
