Job summary

Aylesford Medical Centre is seeking a Salaried GP to join a practice serving a large patient list within a three-practice network. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, providing care under the GMS contract, and contributing to governance and training.

The successful candidate will be GMC registered with an enhanced DBS check and a valid UK driving licence. Interest in women’s health is desirable but not essential, with a focus on collaborative team work and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Fully qualified GP with a current CPR certificate.
• Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of primary care health needs to a high standard for registered and temporary patients.
• Provide medical care to the registered population and the services required under the GMS contract.
• Manage long-term conditions effectively.
• Prescribe generically in line with local and national guidelines.
• Process administration promptly, including referrals and repeat prescription requests.
• Take a rotational turn as duty doctor.
• Keep accurate clinical records in line with good practice and guidance.
• Share an equal part of the practice workload and work collaboratively.
• Take delegated responsibility for one or more areas of QOF.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and training.
• Complete appraisal and revalidation, and maintain your own continuing professional development.
• Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines.
