Haven Health in Felixstowe is seeking a Salaried GP to join its primary care team. The role offers 6–8 sessions per week with flexible working arrangements and duties spanning consultations, diagnosis, ongoing care, prescribing and referrals.

The successful candidate will be fully qualified, GMC-registered, and on the NHSE medical performers list, with annual appraisal and revalidation as applicable. Expect opportunities for teaching and service improvement within a supportive MDT.

The Salaried GP joins Haven Health’s primary care team in Felixstowe, with 6–8 sessions a week and working arrangements open for discussion. The role covers consultations, diagnosis and ongoing care, alongside prescribing, referrals, prevention and urgent presentations. It includes duty doctor sessions, minimal home visiting, and clinical leadership for an aligned care home, with scope to contribute to teaching and service improvement. Applicants need to be fully qualified, GMC-registered and on the NHSE medical performers list, with appraisal and revalidation where applicable.

What the job involves

• Provide general medical care to registered patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions
• Conduct face-to-face, telephone and online consultations according to clinical need and practice procedures
• Prescribe safely in line with current guidance and practice policies
• Refer patients to secondary care and other services when clinically indicated
• Deliver preventative care, health promotion, screening and monitoring of long-term conditions
• Identify and manage urgent and emergency presentations appropriately
• Keep accurate, timely and confidential records on the practice clinical system
• Work with the wider multidisciplinary team to support patients with complex needs
• Undertake duty doctor sessions
• Carry out minimal home visiting, with a paramedic team available
• Act as clinical lead for an aligned care home

Qualifications

• Fully qualified GP
• Annual appraisal and revalidation when appropriate
