This is a permanent on-site role for up to 6 clinical sessions. Hours will be agreed with the successful candidate.
We are aiming for a start date between September and October 2025.
We Are Offering:
- £11154 / 4.75 hour "session"
- Up to 6 sessions / 28.5 hours per week, days to be agreed
- 6 weeks leave please plus bank holidays (pro rata)
- Up to 1 week study leave
- NHS pension scheme eligible
- Supportive environment with daily clinical meeting where complex patients are presented by any clinician and discussed
Main duties of the job
The role will include general clinical sessions with pre-booked triaged patients and book on the day patients. The job may also include triage sessions after training. Other salaried clinicians have specialist sessions including family planning, student and registrar teaching/training, diabetes triage sessions, nursing home visits - there may be an opportunity to develop these interests in the future.
Essential Criteria:
- You are a fully qualified GP, eligible to work in General Practice in the NHS
- You hold the National Performers List registration
- You will need a clear DBS report
- You must be eligible to practice independently in the UK
- This role is not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983
About Us
Cricket Green Medical Practice is a forward thinking training practice in South West London. We provide care for 11500 patients with a multi skilled team of 40 clinical and administrative staff. On site parking is available for staff.
We have a strong history of training and quality improvement. All staff are encouraged to contribute their ideas in how to improve the delivery of care for patients and the working environment, whether that is in updates to processes or adoption of new technology.
GPs in our team work alongside our well supported practice based team of clinicians that includes pharmacists, mental health practitioners, nurses, health care assistants and physician associates.

Job responsibilities
In general, you will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
- Undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the Practice.
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.
- Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Collecting data for audit purposes.
- Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible).
- Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
