Job summary

Safeway Security Services Ltd in Goole invites you to join as an apprentice, working with experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find access control, video surveillance, intruder alarms and fire alarms on customer sites.

Training is delivered by Skills for Security at the Doncaster centre with block release, one week every eight weeks, leading to a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship; travel and occasional weekend work expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ due to site restrictions.
• Driver's license required or willing to work towards.
• Experience in the security/electrical installation sector preferred.

They design, supply and install intruder alarms, fire detection devices, access control systems and surveillance cameras. Their office is staffed by fully qualified personnel whose main aim is to give support to engineers and provide aftersales services to all our customers.

Job Description

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

• Access Control
• Video Surveillance
• Intruder Alarms
• Fire Alarms

Working hours will be 8am - 4:30pm

Entry Requirements

18 years old due to site restrictions

Drivers licence (if don’t hold a licence must be willing to work towards)

Work experience in the sector or previous Electrical installation qualifications

Based in Goole

Genuine interest in the industry

Travel will be required for the role with occasional weekend work or overnight stays required so must be willing to work away

Training to be Provided

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You’ll train through block release at our Doncaster center, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
