Job summary

BARLOWS UK Ltd in Doncaster is offering an apprenticeship opportunity to train as a Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician. You will work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find across access control, video surveillance, intruder alarms, fire alarms and other safety systems.

Your training is provided by Skills for Security, with block release at the Doncaster centre—one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check.
• Live locally and able to commute.
• Previous experience/qualifications in electrical installation will be beneficial.

Job Description

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

• Access Control
• Video Surveillance
• Intruder Alarms
• Fire Alarms
• PAVA systems
• Disabled refuge systems
• Emergency lighting

Entry Requirements

• Full UK Drivers Licence
• Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check
• Live locally and able to commute
• Previous experience/qualifications in electrical installation will be beneficial

Training to be Provided

This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You’ll train through block release at our Doncaster centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
