Job summary

Skills for Security, a UK engineering and facilities management company, is offering an apprenticeship for an engineer to install, maintain and fault-find on access control, video surveillance, intruder alarms and fire alarms at sites in and around Wigan.

You will train alongside experienced engineers, with block-release training at our Warrington centre one week every eight weeks, progressing toward a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Based in Wigan with a WN postcode for works.
• Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
• CSCS card preferred.
• 18+ due to site restrictions.

Job Description

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

• Access Control
• Video Surveillance
• Intruder Alarms
• Fire Alarms

Entry Requirements

• Full UK Drivers Licence preferred, would be required by the end of the apprenticeship
• Candidate will need to be based in Wigan with a WN postcode due to works
• Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check
• CSCS card preferred
• 18+ due to site restrictions

Training to be Provided

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You’ll train through block release at our Warrington centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
