JMC Aviation Limited is hiring an SMS Manager to oversee the Safety Management System at the St Athan location. The role involves governance of safety audits, reporting, and continuous improvement of aviation safety standards across Part 145 operations.

The candidate should bring proven investigative expertise, Part 145 knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office, with a UK driving license and ability to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Experience as an investigator in aviation or similar safety role.
• Detailed knowledge of EASA / CAA Part 145 Regulations and practical application.
• Experience working in a Part 145 environment.

Responsibilities

• Day to day management of the Company SMS.
• Generation of Safety Action Group (SAG) material and hosting meetings.
• Assist to create and present Safety Review Board (SRB) slides.
• Assist with production and implementation of the Part 145 audit programme.
• Assist with control of the company authorisation system.
• Management of company SMS and safety investigations as required.
• Daily administration and monitoring of the Occurrence Reporting System.
• Monitor safety performance and report findings to leadership.

About the Role

The role of the Safety Management System (SMS) Manager provide support to the CMM, including but not limited to management of the SMS. Support in conducting audits in order to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards, company procedures and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Day to day management of the Company SMS
• Generation of Safety Action Group (SAG) material & hosting meetings
• Assisting AM to create & present Safety Review Board (SRB) slide-pack
• Assist with the production & implementation of the Part 145 audit programme
• Assist with control of the company authorisation system
• Management of company SMS
• Conduct Safety Investigations as required
• Daily administration & monitoring of the Occurrence Reporting System
• Monitoring and providing feedback on the safety performance of the organisation
• Report any findings or concerns to the CMM/ Accountable Manager / NP’s

Candidate Requirements

• Experienced and competent Investigator
• Detailed knowledge of EASA / CAA Part 145 Regulations and its practical application
• Practical experience in Part 145 environment
• Current in Safety Training (Including Human Factors), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS), Electrical Wiring Interconnecting Systems (EWIS) training
• Passport enabling travel to locations as required by ecube as part of the role
• Full, clean UK driving license
• Eligible to qualify for and hold UK airside security pass
• Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) etc.

Preferred training

• Qualified Auditor experienced in aviation environment
• Detailed knowledge of Part 66 requirements
