Job summary

YTL UK invites applications for a Safety, Health, and Environment Technician Apprentice. This Level 3 apprenticeship offers practical, on-site exposure across treatment works, pumping stations, laboratories and offices, while working towards a recognised health and safety qualification.

The programme runs 15 to 18 months and can lead to a permanent role for the right candidate. You will support inspections, risk assessments and incident reporting, helping promote a safe and compliant working

Become a Safety, Health, and Environment Technician Apprenticeby gaining aLevel 3 qualification without going to College You will support the Health and Safety team in promoting a safe, healthy and compliant working environment across water and wastewater operations.

The role provides practical experience across treatment works, pumping stations, reservoirs, laboratories, construction sites, network operations and office environments. You will assist with inspections, audits, risk assessments, incident reporting, safety campaigns and health and safety administration, while working towards a recognised health and safety qualification.

What you'll do

This apprenticeship covers key areas required for effective health and safety practice, including:

• company health, safety and environmental policies and culture
• identifying and managing workplace hazards
• effective communication and presentation skills
• financial implications of health and safety decisions
• research, legislation and best practice
• conducting inspections and incident investigations
• stakeholder engagement and signposting
• professional ethics in health and safety.

What you'll need

You will need:

Apprenticeship Information

Duration

15 to 18 months.

For the right candidate who demonstrates appropriate skills and behaviours through their apprenticeship, this will lead to a permanent role.

Qualifications

On completion of this apprenticeship, you will hold a Safety, Health, and Environment Technician Level 3.

Training provision

• The training is provided by Compass Training.
• Training is delivered through a flexible and structured approach via virtual instructor-led workshops, online learning materials and resources, practical assignments and one-to-one support and guidance.

Completion - End Point Assessment (EPA)

The End Point Assessment is the final stage of the apprenticeship and includes:

• online multiple-choice knowledge test (40 questions)
• workplace project and report
• online presentation with questioning
• professional discussion supported by a portfolio of evidence.

You can achieve aPass or Distinctiongrade.
