Job summary

Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited in Liverpool is seeking a Compliance Caretaker to join the North Estate Services team. You will test fire alarms, ELT, and water systems across schemes and sites in the area, often working solo with spreadsheets and technology to document progress.

The role involves property clearance tasks, grounds maintenance, basic landscaping, and keeping accurate records while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Closing date 5 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks.
• Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery.
• Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads.
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out risk assessments to identify and report any potential maintenance issues to ensure a safe environment is maintained and to support planned maintenance programmes
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and used in line with policies and procedures and relevant regulations, reporting faults, hazards and inappropriate practice promptly, to ensure a safe living and working environment
• Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed to meet organisational standards
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition
