Job summary

National Theatre is seeking a Safety Advisor to join our Safety Team. You will work with managers, project teams and contractors to provide practical health, safety and fire guidance across a variety of activities, including construction and refurbishment projects.

The role focuses on enabling creativity while ensuring safe working environments and effective fire safety arrangements, with opportunities to influence risk management across the organisation.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Level 3 health and safety qualification required.
• Experience providing practical health and safety advice in construction, facilities, entertainment or similar operational environment.
• Knowledge of fire safety principles and experience supporting fire safety arrangements in the workplace.
• Experience assisting with risk assessments, incident investigations and safety inspections.
• Experience delivering basic health and safety training or toolbox talks.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical health, safety and fire guidance across a wide range of activities.
• Support construction, refurbishment and maintenance projects and fire safety arrangements.
• Build relationships across the organisation to help staff understand and manage risks.
• Promote continual improvement in safety practices across departments.

Education
