Job summary

HMP Forest Bank is seeking a Safer Custody Intelligence Analyst to join the team in Salford. The role focuses on delivering high-quality intelligence, data analysis and reporting to support Safer Custody and violence reduction initiatives.

You will analyse information from diverse sources, identify trends, and turn complex data into actionable intelligence for senior management and external partners. This non-operational role emphasizes accurate recording and timely communication.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse information from a wide range of sources to identify Safer Custody issues.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly Safer Custody Intelligence Reports.
  • Identify emerging trends and provide timely intelligence for decision making.
  • Develop and maintain reporting datasets and data systems.
  • Ensure intelligence and recording systems are accurate and used appropriately.
  • Provide guidance to Safer Custody Managers on trends and issues.
  • Collaborate with Security and other departments to support priorities.
  • Liaise with other establishments and external agencies as needed.
  • Support the management of ACCT and CSIP systems.
  • Complete monitoring returns accurately and on time.
  • Maintain establishment databases and generate reports.
  • Distribute monthly objectives from Safer Custody departments.
  • Arrange meetings and record action points.
  • Support development of Safer Custody intelligence capability.

Safer Custody IntelligenceAnalyst HMP Forest Bank, Salford Salary:£28,280.74 per annum Contract:Permanent Hours:40 hours per week About the Role HMP Forest Bank is looking foraSafer Custody Intelligence Analystto join our team and play a keyrole in supporting the safety, wellbeing and effective management of theprison.

This is anon-operationalrole with no line management responsibilities, providing high-qualityintelligence, data analysis and reporting to support Safer Custody, violencereduction and informed decision-making across the establishment.

Working closely with SaferCustody leads, the Security team and senior management, you will analyseinformation from a wide range of sources, identify trends and emergingconcerns, and turn complex data into clear and meaningful intelligence thatsupports positive action.

You will play an importantrole in ensuring that Safer Custody information is accurately recorded,analysed and communicated to the right people at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse and evaluate information from a wide range of sources to identify, reduce and prevent Safer Custody issues.
  • Producemonthly and quarterly Safer Custody Intelligence Reports, covering key areas including self-harm, violence, self-isolation, ACCT management and CSIP. Use data, intelligence and trend analysis to support Senior Management Team decision-making.
  • Identify emerging trends and provide clear, timely intelligence on local, regional and national Safer Custody issues.
  • Develop and maintain reporting datasets, analytical tools and data systems to support effective information management.
  • Ensure relevant intelligence and recording systems are accurate, maintained and used appropriately.
  • Provide advice and guidance to Safer Custody Managers on current trends, intelligence and emerging issues.
  • Work closely with the Security team and functional departments to ensure Safer Custody priorities are understood and supported across the establishment.
  • Liaise with other establishments, law enforcement organisations and external agencies, sharing relevant intelligence in accordance with local and national policies.
  • Support the management and implementation ofACCT and CSIPsystems.
  • Complete national and local monitoring returns accurately and within required timescales.
  • Maintain establishment databases, filing systems and information logs, producing reports as required.
  • Collate and distribute monthly objectives from Safer Custody departments.
  • Arrange meetings, prepare relevant paperwork, record minutes and monitor action points.
  • Support the continued development of Safer Custody intelligence capability at HMP Forest Bank.
