Job summary

Derby College Group is seeking a proactive Safeguarding Adviser for the Ilkeston campus. You will lead safeguarding efforts to protect vulnerable students, identifying concerns and coordinating timely support with internal teams and external agencies.

You will engage with students and staff, maintain thorough records, and promote inclusive, safe learning environments aligned with safeguarding policies and the FE sector requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable young people and understanding safeguarding policies.
• Ability to engage with students, colleagues and external partners at all levels.
• Commitment to promoting student safety and well-being with a student-focused approach.

• Identify safeguarding concerns and implement timely interventions.
