Job summary

South Craven School is seeking a non-teaching Safeguarding Support Manager to join our pastoral team and help maintain a safe, supportive environment for all students. You will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to manage daily safeguarding operations and coordinate with external agencies as needed.

This permanent post offers a salary of £32,061 (Grade I SCP 23) actual per annum, Term Time Plus Two Weeks with flexible hours to suit the role.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in child protection, safeguarding or pastoral environments.
• Knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education and local guidance.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• High level of confidentiality and professional ethics.
• A collaborative team player within a safeguarding team.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily safeguarding operations with the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Liaise with external safeguarding and welfare agencies.
• Support vulnerable students and families as required.
