Job summary

Trinity High School & Sixth Form Centre is seeking an exceptional safeguarding professional to lead safeguarding and attendance as the Designated Safeguarding Lead. This senior, non-teaching role sits on the Senior Leadership Team and collaborates with Heads of Year, pastoral managers, SENDCo and partner agencies to keep vulnerable pupils safe and in school.

Qualifications

• Trained Designated Safeguarding Lead (or Deputy DSL ready to step up) with substantial experience of child protection casework in a school.
• Has led or significantly improved attendance and knows Working Together to Improve School Attendance inside out.
• Puts the child at the centre of every decision and holds the line with families, staff and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding and attendance across the school as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Be part of the Senior Leadership Team and collaborate with Heads of Year, Pastoral Managers, SENDCo and partner agencies.
• Drive safeguarding strategy, ensure online checks and DBS processes, and respond swiftly to concerns in line with policy.
