Job summary

Manor Church of England Academy is seeking a dedicated member of support staff to lead safeguarding and child protection within the school, ensuring safe arrangements align with guidance.

You will work directly with students on protection plans, in partnership with Social Workers, Police, YOS and other agencies, under the Trust Safeguarding Practice Model. 37 hours per week, term time only, permanent contract, with flexibility for meetings outside school hours.

Qualifications

• Safeguarding and child protection experience preferred.
• Ability to work with vulnerable children and young people in a school setting.
• Strong collaboration with external agencies such as Social Workers, Police, and Youth Offending Services.

Responsibilities

• Lead in responsibility for child protection issues in the school.
• Support students subject to Child Protection Plans and related safeguarding arrangements.
• Collaborate with Social Workers, Police, YOS and community organisations.
• Attend meetings as required and work flexible hours beyond normal times.
