Job summary

Luminate Education Group in Leeds is seeking a Safeguarding Development and Operations Officer to join the Group Safeguarding Team. The role blends safeguarding learning, digital content, communications, data and quality improvement to engage staff and students across the group.

You will deliver training, develop resources and monitor compliance, supporting higher education safeguarding activities and ensuring data protection.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering safeguarding training or similar.
• Ability to design learning resources and digital content.
• Understanding of safeguarding policies and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safeguarding training, briefings and workshops, including sensitive topics.
• Design, develop and evaluate safeguarding learning resources and awareness campaigns.
• Monitor training compliance, analyse data and feedback to inform priorities.
• Support safeguarding quality assurance, audits, action plans and reporting across teams and partners.
• Utilise digital tools and AI resources to improve accessibility while protecting confidentiality.

About the Role

Are you creative, digitally confident and passionate about making a real difference through safeguarding?

We’re looking for a Safeguarding Development and Operations Officer to join our Group Safeguarding Team in an exciting and varied role where no two days will look quite the same.

This is a varied role combining safeguarding learning and development, digital content, communications, data and quality improvement. You will help us make safeguarding engaging, accessible and responsive, supporting staff and students across Luminate Education Group.

What You Will Do

Deliver engagingsafeguarding training,briefings and workshops, including sensitive andcomplex topics.

Design, develop and evaluate safeguarding learning, e-learning, digital resources and awarenesscampaigns.

Monitor training compliance, analyse data and feedback, and use insights to inform learningand safeguarding priorities.

Support safeguarding qualityassurance, audits, actionplans, reporting andprojects across curriculumteams and externalpartners.

Contribute to Higher Education safeguarding activity and use digital and approved AI tools to improve accessibility, efficiency and creativity while maintaining confidentiality and data protection.

About You

• Confident delivering training, workshops and presentations, with the ability to adapt your approach for sensitive or complex topics.
• Highly organised, detail-focused and able to manage competing priorities and detailed information accurately.
• Confident using digital systems and technology, with the ability to learn new tools and processes quickly.
• Curious, adaptable and creative, with a strong interest in finding engaging ways to communicate information.
• Collaborative, professional and committed to creating safe, inclusive environments for children, young people and adults.
• English and Maths at Level 2
