Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Programme Solution/Technical Architect for a London-based contract with hybrid working. The role supports a global programme migrating from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA while ensuring business continuity and streamlined, data-led ways of working.

The architect will own the end-to-end solution, provide technical leadership across processes, data, integrations, security and service transition.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and delivering complex SAP S/4HANA solutions within large, integrated enterprise environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of SAP architecture, clean-core principles, fit-to-standard approaches, extensibility and SAP BTP.
• Experience with SAP integration patterns, data flows and the design of connected non-SAP systems.
• Significant experience working within complex business transformation or ERP implementation programmes.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture governance, reference patterns, technical standards and architecture decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the current, transition and target-state solution and technical architecture for the SAP S/4HANA programme.
• Translate business, functional and non-functional requirements into pragmatic, implementable solution designs.
• Apply fit-to-standard and clean-core principles, challenging unnecessary customisation and protecting future upgradeability.
• Assess solution options and document recommendations by balancing business value, risk, cost, complexity, delivery feasibility and long-term supportability.
• Coordinate architecture and design activities across programme workstreams, delivery partners and connected SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Maintain design integrity across integration, data, security, infrastructure, performance, resilience, compliance and operational requirements.
• Lead architecture reviews, maintain architecture decision records and prepare significant decisions or exceptions for governance forums.
• Provide architecture guidance throughout build, testing, cutover, deployment and transition to service.

Our client, a global organisation undertaking a major SAP transformation, is seeking an S/4HANA Programme Solution / Technical Architect on a contract basis. Based in London with hybrid working, the role will support a global programme transitioning from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA while maintaining business continuity and enabling more streamlined, standardised and data-led ways of working.
The architect will be accountable for the integrity and coherence of the end-to-end programme solution, providing technical leadership across business processes, applications, data, integrations, security, infrastructure and service transition.
