Job summary

Square One Resources Limited is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect in London, adopting a hybrid work model for a 6‑month engagement inside IR35. The role leads architecture across a major finance transformation programme, spanning S/4HANA Finance, R2R, P2P, FP&A and payments ecosystems.

You will shape end-to-end SAP strategies, ensure Clean Core alignment, and drive architecture governance with Finance, Enterprise Architecture, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Significant solution architecture experience within SAP and finance transformation programmes.
• Strong SAP S/4HANA Finance knowledge and experience integrating SAP and non-SAP platforms.
• End-to-end finance process knowledge across R2R, P2P, Payments, Treasury and FP&A.
• Experience with Payments and Treasury architecture, including payment hubs, bank connectivity and ISO 20022.
• Finance automation experience, ideally including BlackLine.
• Knowledge of SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud Planning, SAP BTP, BDC/Datasphere and Fiori.
• Understanding of SAP Clean Core principles, integration architecture, data and security.
• Experience conducting architecture impact assessments and working within Architecture Review Boards.

• Provide architecture leadership across SAP S/4HANA, RISE, SAP Payment Hub, bank connectivity and FIS Quantum.
• Support Finance automation initiatives, including BlackLine, reconciliations, journal automation and financial close.
• Shape FP&A solutions, including SAP BPC replacement and SAP Analytics Cloud Planning.
• Define architecture approaches across SAP BTP, BDC, Datasphere, Fiori and Finance data integration.
• Assess new business demands, identifying impacts across systems, processes, data and security.
• Review business cases, assess options, costs, risks and dependencies.
• Ensure solutions follow Clean Core principles and align with enterprise standards.
• Provide architecture assurance throughout design, delivery and transition into support.
• Work with Finance stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, SAP teams, Data & Analytics, Cyber Security and external partners.

SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect needed to lead architecture across a major Group Finance and CT transformation programme. You will shape solutions across SAP S/4HANA, Core Finance, Payments & Treasury, R2R Automation and FP&A, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, SAP strategy and wider Finance transformation objectives.
