Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking Rust engineers to join our High Integrity Software team in London-area offices. You will join a diverse group of engineers focused on safety-critical software for aerospace, defence, rail, automotive and energy sectors, with onsite collaboration at New Malden.

In this role you will shape technical strategy, drive requirements and architecture, lead development and testing, and work with the safety team to demonstrate compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the full safety critical software development lifecycle.
• Experience in requirements, development or testing.
• Experience in aerospace, transport, defence, rail or automotive markets.
• Experience with Rust and applying relevant standards (61508, 50128, 26262, 00-55, ED-109, DO-178, etc.).
• Organised with good time management and strong logic and reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Shape technical strategy on bids and projects using Capgemini’s lifecycle model and QA tools.
• Lead the generation of software requirements, architecture and design.
• Lead development of software and systems, and lead testing activities.
• Collaborate with safety team to provide evidence against standards.
