Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking Rust engineers to join our High Integrity Software team, delivering safety-related software for critical applications across aerospace, defence, rail, automotive and energy sectors. You will work with a diverse team of experienced engineers focused on meeting high customer expectations.

The role requires strong knowledge of the safety-critical SDLC, expertise in requirements/development or testing, Rust experience and familiarity with relevant standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the whole safety critical software development life cycle.
• Expertise in either requirements, development or test.
• Experience in aerospace, transport, defence, rail or automotive markets.
• Experience with Rust.
• Experience applying standards such as 61508, 50128, 26262, 00-55, ED-109, DO-178.
• Organised with good time management and prioritisation.
• Methodical approach with attention to detail and strong reasoning.
• Degree in software engineering or related subject.
• Knowledge of static analysis techniques.

Your role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for Rust engineers to join our High Integrity Software team. You will join a diverse team of excellent and experienced engineers who are committed to ensuring our projects meet our customers’ high expectations. Our team develops software for safety related and critical applications in the Aerospace, Defence, Rail, Automotive and Energy sectors, often related to critical national infrastructure.

Your profile

Essential

• Strong knowledge of the whole safety critical software development life cycle.
• Expertise in either requirements, development or test.
• Experience in at least one of the following markets: aerospace, transport, defence, rail, automotive.
• Experience with Rust.
• Experience of applying relevant standards such as 61508, 50128, 26262, 00-55, ED-109, DO-178 etc.
• Organised, good time management and prioritisation
• Methodical approach to work, with good attention to details and strong logic and reasoning skill

Desirable

• Degree qualified in software engineering or related/relevant subject.
• Experience in at least one of the following markets: aerospace, transport, defence, rail, automotive.
• Knowledge and experience in static analysis techniques
