The Durness Bus seeks a practical, capable individual for a senior hands-on role blending transport management with day-to-day operations in the Highlands. You will drive occasionally, supervise drivers, ensure compliance, plan services and help shape the business’s future in partnership with the owners.

This role rewards initiative and offers real influence over schedules, fleet decisions and centre development, with a focus on safety and efficiency in rural Scotland.

Competenze

• Experience in passenger transport operations and compliance is preferred.
• Ability to manage and support drivers and staff in rural service areas.

Mansioni

• Take an active role ensuring Operator's Licence compliance and transport legislation.
• Oversee drivers' hours, tachographs, CPC requirements and training.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance planning, inspections, defect reporting and daily checks.
• Drive company buses as needed and provide practical operational cover.
• Coordinate driver allocation, service planning and operational cover.
• Support fleet decisions, accessibility considerations, and future centre development.
• Assist recruitment, induction, and staff development to improve services.
