Job summary

West Coast Motors (Isle of Bute) is seeking experienced Bus Drivers to join our friendly team on the Isle of Bute. Based at the Rothesay depot, you will operate modern buses on scenic routes and provide safe, reliable journeys for locals and visitors alike.

We offer both full-time and part-time roles with flexible shifts, paid Driver CPC training, 30 days of holiday, overtime opportunities, and free travel for you and your partner on West Coast Motors services.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company buses on scheduled routes and other assignments.
• Deliver a safe, comfortable journey and excellent customer service.

• Handle cash and card payments where required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Represent West Coast Motors with professionalism.

We’re looking for professional, customer-focused Bus Drivers to join our friendly team on the Isle of Bute. We have opportunities available on both a full-time and part-time basis.

Working on the Isle of Bute

Based at our depot in Rothesay, you’ll help connect local communities across the Isle of Bute. Operating modern vehicles on some of Scotland’s most scenic routes, you’ll be part of a supportive local team in a varied role where no two days are the same.

The Role

As a Bus Driver, you will:

• Safely operate company vehicles on scheduled services and other allocated work
• Deliver excellent customer service and a safe, comfortable journey for every passenger
• Help connect local communities by getting customers to their destinations safely and on time
• Handle cash and card payments accurately and responsibly, where required
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with company procedures
• Provide travel information and assistance to customers when required
• Work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism
• Represent West Coast Motors positively through your driving standards, appearance and customer care
