Job summary

West Coast Motors (Isle of Bute) is seeking experienced Bus Drivers to join our team on the Isle of Bute in Scotland. Roles are available full-time and part-time, with a range of shift patterns to support work-life balance and opportunities for overtime.

You will operate modern vehicles on scenic routes, deliver excellent customer service, and help local residents and visitors reach their destinations safely and reliably. A PCV licence, tachograph card, and strong safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• PCV licence entitlement is required.
• A valid digital tachograph card is required.
• A professional, reliable and safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles on scheduled services and other allocated work.
• Deliver excellent customer service and a safe journey for every passenger.
• Help connect local communities by getting customers to their destinations safely and on time.
• Handle cash and card payments accurately where required.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects per procedures.
• Provide travel information and assistance to customers when required.
• Work independently while maintaining high safety and professionalism standards.
• Represent West Coast Motors positively through driving standards and customer care.

Working on the Isle of Bute

Based at our depot in Rothesay, you’ll help connect local communities across the Isle of Bute. Operating modern vehicles on some of Scotland’s most scenic routes, you’ll be part of a supportive local team in a varied role where no two days are the same.

As a Bus Driver, you will:
