Job summary

Woodchurch Surgery is seeking a motivated practice nurse to join our friendly rural team for 30 hours per week. The role focuses on delivering treatment room services, immunisations and routine wound care, while supporting patient care across our 6,000+ patient list.

The ideal candidate will be RGN/NMC registered with General Practice experience, excellent IT and communication skills, and a collaborative approach to professional development in chronic disease management.

Qualifications

• RGN and NMC registration required.
• Experience in General Practice essential.
• Wound care knowledge and vaccination skills essential.
• Good IT skills and clear communication with patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic treatment room services in general practice.
• Deliver immunisations and vaccination sessions.
• Support management of chronic conditions with the clinical team.
• Collaborate with GPs, nurses and admin to ensure efficient patient care.

Job description

Woodchurch Surgery is a friendly rural dispensing practice with over 6000 patients. Our clinical team comprises 1 GP partner, 4 salaried GPs, 3 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses and 2 HCAs who are supported by our dispensary and administration teams.

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate practice nurse to join our friendly team for 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience in general practice and be able to offer basic treatment room services as well as being prepared to undertake further professional development in additional skills and management of chronic conditions.
