Job summary

NCIC's Occupational Therapy team at Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle is seeking a friendly and motivated Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor for 37.5 hours per week on a fixed-term basis (up to 12 months) to cover maternity leave. The role supports the OT team in delivering delegated duties within the acute hospital setting.

You will supervise patients during treatment activities, provide feedback to the OT, and participate in CPD opportunities within a strong OT network across North Cumbria.

Qualifications

• BASED IN NHS AFCS BAND 3 role requiring understanding of occupational therapy practice.
• Care Certificate or willingness to undertake is essential.
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent; IT skills and QCF III (Health) essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapist with delegated duties within the acute team.
• Supervise and instruct patients in activities relating to their treatment programme.
• Provide feedback to the Occupational Therapist on patient progress.
