Job summary

Western District Health Service invites applications for a Nurse Unit Manager at Coleraine Campus, leading a multidisciplinary team across acute and residential aged care. Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
• Minimum five years post-graduate nursing experience
• Demonstrated leadership and staff management experience
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality and safety frameworks
• Experience in workforce planning, staffing and performance management
• Current Driver's Licence
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Rights to work in Australia

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership across acute and residential aged care services, ensuring safe, high-quality and evidence-based care delivery
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, rostering, performance management and staff development activities across the service
• Drive quality improvement activities, monitor clinical standards, manage incidents and support compliance with accreditation, legislative and infection prevention requirements
• Contribute to budget management, workforce utilisation and resource planning to support efficient and sustainable service delivery
• Foster a positive, collaborative and accountable workplace culture while supporting professional growth and leadership development across the team
