Priory Group is seeking a Unit Manager to join the nursing team at Apple Mews in Armagh. You will work within the Senior Nursing Team to ensure high-quality, patient-focused care and support the Service Manager with leadership responsibilities.

The role requires ongoing leadership, clinical supervision experience and strong communication, with a focus on safety and continuous development within a residential and nursing setting.

Competenze

• Current NMC RGN registration.
• Experience in clinical supervision and leadership.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and education.
• Change management skills demonstrated in previous roles.

• As Unit Manager, lead clinical nursing practice and uphold patient- and family-centred care.

Apple Mews has an opportunity for a Unit Manager to join our nursing team.

Apple Mews is located in the city of Armagh, in Northern Ireland. Our home offers residential and nursing support for 30 adults with a range of needs. This includes people with a learning disability, individuals with physical health needs, and autistic people.

What you'll be doing

As Unit Manager, you will be part of the Senior Nursing Team, assisting the Service Manager and working collaboratively with the Multidisciplinary team to ensure a high-quality patient focused service is provided. You will act as a role model for the wider nursing team and exemplify best practice all times.

• Assist with the clinical management of the unit, maintaining high standards of nursing practice and promoting the philosophy of patient and family centred care
• Support the Service Manager in undertaking personal development reviews, risk assessments and management, managing clinical incidents, department audits, data collection for nursing indicators
• Ensure communication with nurses and healthcare assistants is accurate and is patient centred and safety huddles are carried out on a daily basis.
• Manage challenging and difficult situations with a professional and emotionally appropriate response, ensuring the needs of the patient remain paramount.
