Job summary

NFU Mutual Lincoln Agency is seeking an experienced Farming Account Handler to manage and develop an established farming portfolio. You will build long-term relationships with farming and rural clients, providing trusted insurance advice and solutions from our Lincoln office at Burton Waters Marina.

The role involves identifying opportunities to expand coverage, networking locally, and working with Agency Partners to support growth.

Qualifications

• Experience working within farming, agriculture or agricultural insurance.
• Good understanding of challenges facing rural businesses.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Strong commercial awareness and a customer-first mindset.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service an existing portfolio of farming and rural business clients.
• Build long-term relationships through excellent service and advice.
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional insurance solutions.
• Generate new business through networking, referrals and local market engagement.
• Collaborate with Agency Partners and colleagues to support growth.
• Conduct customer reviews to ensure clients remain appropriately protected.
