Job summary

NCIC in Whitehaven is seeking a Diagnostic Radiographer Band 5 to join a 365 days radiology team. The post is 37.5 hours per week, with shift patterns including days, evenings, nights and weekends to provide a 24/7 service. A BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent and HCPC registration are essential.

The role involves general radiography, theatre, fluoroscopy and CT, with teaching and mentoring responsibilities for students and junior staff. Relocation and DBS checks may apply.

Qualifications

• BSc or equivalent degree in radiography and HCPC registration is required.
• Registration with HCPC is mandatory for practice in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiography across general, theatre, fluoroscopy and CT services.
• Justify and perform radiographic examinations from multiple referral pathways.
• Mentor student radiographers and assist in training staff.
• Carry out Quality Assurance as required.
