Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust in Whitehaven is recruiting a radiographer to join a 24/7 diagnostic imaging service at West Cumberland Hospital. You will perform general radiography, emergency imaging, theatre imaging and fluoroscopy, with rotations through CT and the CDC.

The post is suitable for both newly qualified and experienced radiographers, offering a permanent, full-time 37.5-hour week within an established NHS team.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
• Knowledge of radiographic techniques and imaging procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic radiographic examinations.
• Provide imaging services for emergency department patients.
• Undertake radiographic procedures in operating theatres.
• Perform fluoroscopic examinations.
• Participate in CT department rotations.
• Support imaging services at the Community Diagnostic Centre.
• Ensure diagnostic images meet clinical and quality standards.
• Maintain patient safety, dignity and confidentiality.
• Work collaboratively with radiologists, clinicians and other professionals.
• Participate in shift rotations to maintain 24/7 radiology services.
