Carr’s Billington Agriculture in Penicuik is seeking an Agricultural & Rural Sales Advisor to join the branch team. You will help maintain stock levels, promote sales, and deliver excellent customer service while supporting daily branch operations and occasional warehouse tasks.

The role requires knowledge of agriculture, retail experience, and a flexible, team-oriented approach. Training for AMTRA can be provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with an appreciation for our customer base.
• Organised approach to work and able to work using own initiative.
• Knowledge of Agriculture.
• Demonstrable experience of working in a retail environment.
• Practical problem solver.
• Flexible approach to work and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
• Team player with a genuine interest in helping others.
• Holds a full UK driving licence.
• AMTRA qualification (training can be given).
• Confident and competent user of Microsoft applications systems and fully IT literate.
• Experience of using D365.

Responsibilities

• Support and contribute to the effective operation of the branch team with stocked products maintained with Branch Manager.
• Actively promote and drive sales to maximise profitability.
• Deliver excellent customer service by understanding needs and delivering first rate solutions.
• Assist with daily tasks and be flexible to cover warehouse or delivery duties.
• Lead in strategies to increase productivity and achieve margin targets.
• Support the Branch in promoting the company brand and work to established standards.
• Adhere to Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
