Job summary

Burberry is seeking an RTR Lead Accountant to oversee accurate financial reporting for the UK and Italy Supply Chain operations. You will lead record-to-report activities, ensuring IFRS compliance and strong internal controls while developing a high-performing team.

You will drive process improvements, automation and standardisation of finance processes, partnering with stakeholders across functions to deliver timely statutory accounts and management information.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification accounting experience.
• Experience applying IFRS or local GAAP within a complex organisation.
• Experience leading or supervising accounting colleagues with ability to set priorities and develop others.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end delivery, journals, reconciliations and management information accuracy.
• Lead preparation and review of statutory accounts for UK & Italy, ensuring timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Group policies and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Provide direction to the team on priorities, deadlines and standards while supporting development.
• Drive simplification, standardisation and automation of finance processes through data-driven analysis.
• Partner with colleagues across functions to deliver change initiatives and system improvements.
