Job summary

Burberry is hiring an RTR Lead Accountant to oversee accurate, high-quality financial reporting for UK and Italy Supply Chain operations. You will lead record-to-report activities, ensuring IFRS compliance and strong controls, while guiding a team and driving process improvements.

The role requires professional accounting qualification and solid experience in financial reporting, with proficiency in SAP/BPC and advanced Excel/Power BI.

Qualifications

• Professional accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Strong IFRS/local GAAP knowledge in a complex org.
• Experience leading or supervising accounting teams.
• Able to influence stakeholders across levels.
• Proficient with financial systems (SAP) and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end delivery: journals, reconciliations, reporting.
• Lead preparation/review of statutory accounts and compliance.
• Maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
• Provide direction and develop the team.
• Drive simplification and automation of finance processes.
• Partner with other functions to deliver change initiatives.
