Job summary

Burberry is hiring a Lead Inventory Accountant to join the Inventory Centre of Excellence. This role combines technical accounting expertise with people leadership and commercial insight to support informed business decisions across Finance, Retail and Supply Chain.

You will lead a team of accounting professionals, oversee inventory accounting activities, deliver budgeting and month-end reporting, and partner with senior stakeholders to drive efficiency and strong controls across global luxury

Qualifications

Fully qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
Experience leading or developing finance teams.
Strong technical accounting knowledge.
Experience partnering with senior stakeholders.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on quality.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Oversee inventory accounting activities, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls and compliance with standards.
Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Retail and Supply Chain to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
Deliver budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting across multiple inventory-related workstreams.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide oversight across key inventory areas including retail, supply chain, raw materials and inventory management.
