Job summary

CRA Consulting are recruiting for an experienced RTA/EL/PL Intermediate Track Litigator in Leeds. The role offers hybrid working (approx. 50% office / 50% home) with a circa £50,000 salary plus bonus and excellent benefits.

You will manage your own caseload, handling a mix of RTA, EL and PL claims with scope to progress to more complex matters. You'll join a large, well‑established operation that values quality, development and autonomy.

Qualifications

• Strong experience handling Personal Injury claims across RTA, EL and/or PL.
• Exposure to Intermediate Track or more complex litigation is preferred.
• Good knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and Pre-Action Protocols.
• Ability to manage own caseload with professional client communication.
• Strong liability and quantum investigation skills with settlement negotiation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage own varied caseload of Personal Injury matters with focus on Intermediate Track claims.
• Investigate liability and quantum, review medical evidence and other materials.
• Advise clients throughout the life of their claim and draft/ review legal documents.
• Progress litigated matters and negotiate settlements within Pre‑Action Protocols.
• Liaise with third parties, experts and legal representatives and maintain file standards.

The Role

You'll manage your own varied caseload of Personal Injury matters, with a particular focus on Intermediate Track claims across:

• Employers' Liability
• Public Liability
• Road Traffic Accidents
• Pedestrian claims
• Cyclist claims
• More complex liability and quantum disputes

You'll take responsibility for cases from investigation through to settlement or litigation, depending on the individual matter.
Day‑to‑day, you'll be:

• Investigating liability and quantum
• Reviewing medical and other supporting evidence
• Advising clients throughout the life of their claim
• Drafting and reviewing legal documentation
• Working within the Pre‑Action Protocols and Civil Procedure Rules
• Negotiating settlements
• Progressing litigated matters
• Liaising with third parties, experts and legal representatives
• Maintaining strong standards around compliance, service and file management

This isn't simply about pushing files through a process. The business is looking for someone capable of investigating claims properly, making good commercial decisions and achieving the right outcome for the client.

What we're looking for

You don't necessarily need to come from one particular type of firm or have one particular job title.
You could currently be working as a:

• Personal Injury Solicitor
• Litigation Executive
• Legal Executive / CILEX
• Personal Injury Fee Earner
• Legal Claims Handler
• RTA Litigator
• EL / PL Litigator

What's more important is your experience.
Ideally, you'll have:

• Strong experience handling Personal Injury claims
• Exposure to Intermediate Track or more complex litigation
• Experience across RTA, EL and/or PL claims
• Good knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
• Understanding of relevant Pre‑Action Protocols
• Strong liability and quantum investigation skills
• Confidence negotiating settlements
• Experience managing your own caseload
• Good client communication skills
• The ability to work independently while being part of a wider litigation team

The Package

Basic salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience
