Job summary

CRA Legal in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor or Fee Earner to manage a claimant PI caseload, predominantly Fast Track, with a good level of autonomy within an established firm.

You will handle instructions through settlement or trial, review medical evidence, draft pleadings, and negotiate with insurers. Salary £30,000 - £45,000 DOE; office-based, full-time with competitive pension and benefits.

Qualifications

• Solid claimant personal injury litigation background.
• Experience with RTA and/or Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage own claimant personal injury caseload with Fast Track matters.
• Handle litigated Fast Track matters and case progression to settlement or trial.
• Investigate liability, causation and quantum for claims.
• Review medical evidence and value claims.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements and schedules of loss.
• Negotiate with defendant insurers and solicitors; make/respond to Part 36 offers.
• Ensure compliance with court directions and deadlines.
• Provide high-quality client care throughout the claim.

CRA Consulting are working with a well-established law firm on the outskirts of Sheffield who are looking to recruit an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor or Fee Earner to join their growing team. The Role

You will be responsible for managing your own claimant personal injury caseload, with the majority of matters involving Fast Track litigation. The role will include:

• Managing personal injury claims from instruction through to settlement
• Handling litigated Fast Track matters
• Investigating liability, causation and quantum
• Reviewing medical evidence and valuing claims
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and schedules of loss
• Negotiating with defendant insurers and solicitors
• Making and responding to Part 36 offers
• Ensuring compliance with court directions and limitation dates
• Providing a high standard of client care throughout the claim
• Progressing files proactively towards settlement or trial

What we're looking for

We're keen to speak with Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives and experienced Personal Injury Fee Earners who have a good understanding of claimant personal injury litigation. Previous experience handling RTA and/or Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims would be particularly beneficial. You don't necessarily need to tick every box. The firm is primarily looking for someone with a good grounding in personal injury who is comfortable running files and understands the litigation process.

The Package

Salary is expected to be in the region of £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, alongside a good pension and wider benefits package. The firm would prefer someone who is happy to be based in the Sheffield office full-time, so this could particularly suit someone who enjoys being part of a team and prefers an office-based working environment.
