Job Description:

The role

As a Workshop Technician, you will work within the ROV Workshop team and report directly to the ROV Technician Supervisor. You will collaborate with Fugro project teams, logistics, the Technical Manager, and other ROV support teams both internally and externally.

Your typical day involves testing, maintenance, preparation, repair, and certification of all types of ROV systems and associated equipment in a safe manner. You will maintain and update documentation related to maintenance, fault repair, and equipment preparation, ensure the safe load-out of systems and equipment for pre-mobilisation, and assist in providing technical and operational support to meet business needs.

You will also participate in discussions with project teams to ensure successful project execution.

Who we're looking for:

We seek someone with a recognised apprenticeship in electrical discipline (or equivalent), 18th Edition training or equivalent, and COMPEX certification. Knowledge of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment used for repairing and maintaining industrial electrical equipment is essential. The ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, OEM manuals, and engineering instructions is required, along with good workshop practices and skills. Candidates should be based in or near Aberdeen.

Desirable qualifications include understanding mechanical and hydraulic principles, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), and previous experience working on ROV systems and/or subsea tooling equipment in offshore or onshore environments.

If you are self-motivated, driven, and eager for this exciting opportunity, we would love to hear from you. Join Fugro and be part of a team that values safety, innovation, and excellence.

What we offer:

Fugro provides a positive work environment and engaging projects. We offer opportunities for personal growth and development. We encourage diversity, energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude. We believe that a diverse and driven team is key to our success.

  • Extensive career and training opportunities nationally and internationally.
  • Competitive salary with an attractive package including a contributory pension scheme.
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home two days a week, subject to managerial approval.
  • Option to lease an electric car.

At Fugro, our people are our strength. We value diverse viewpoints, experiences, and talents. Discrimination, harassment, and unfair treatment are not tolerated. We support and treat everyone fairly, fostering a sense of belonging, safety, and acceptance. We believe that this inclusivity aligns with our purpose to create a safe and livable world.
