Role Summary

The Electrical Engineer supports the Area Operations Manager and Technical Supervisor by performing reactive and preventive maintenance on building engineering systems and services. Responsibilities include maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair of low voltage electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain low voltage electrical systems and perform PPM routines.
2. Repair and maintain electrical equipment and fixtures.
3. Support small projects and assist with project handovers.
4. Ensure compliance with BS7671 wiring regulations.
5. Diagnose and repair faults.
6. Maintain documentation, site logbooks, and compliance certifications.
7. Participate in emergency call-out services and support cost reduction initiatives.
8. Assist team members as needed.

Person Specification

Candidates should have technical training (NVQ level 3 or equivalent), be willing to undertake refresher training, and possess relevant qualifications including City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical disciplines and BS 7671 (18th Edition). An apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience is required.
