Job Opportunity

Due to our ongoing international growth, ROVOP Inc. offers exciting opportunities for ROV Pilot Technicians at all levels to join us on a permanent basis. We have multiple global projects extending into 2025 and beyond, operating on dedicated schedules.

Role Responsibilities

As an ROV Pilot Technician, your primary responsibilities include piloting the ROV, executing operational tasks, maintaining and repairing the ROV system, implementing and monitoring technical procedures, and managing work activities.

Key Duties
  1. Be knowledgeable and experienced with ROV control, navigational, and propulsion systems.
  2. Assist in the launch and recovery of the ROV system.
  3. Ensure all ROV systems are in complete working order and compliant with technical requirements throughout the contract.
  4. Conduct dives following recognized operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient work execution.
  5. Perform navigation and observer duties, including log keeping and operating manipulators and ancillary equipment.
  6. Assess weather conditions and operational parameters for safe ROV operations.
  7. Independently pilot the ROV in various environmental conditions.
  8. Complete and submit operational and technical reports at the end of each offshore cycle, covering all project aspects and repairs.
  9. Maintain knowledge of third-party tooling and sensors, and perform integration and fault-finding as needed.
Candidate Requirements

Successful candidates should have experience operating one or more of the following systems:

  • Triton XLX and XLS systems
  • Seaeye Panther, Cougar, and Tiger systems
  • Sub-Atlantic Comanche and Mohican systems

Additionally, candidates must hold a valid competence certificate (per IMCA guidelines), BOSIET, and offshore medical certification. Full GWO certification is preferable. Preference will be given to those holding valid HV certification, a second passport, and valid seaman’s certification/books.
