E.ON UK plc is seeking a Highways Electrician to join the Utility Solutions team based in Rochdale. You will carry out routine maintenance, inspection and electrical testing of street lighting and highway assets across the North West, and support installation, wiring and fault finding, with limited connections to DNO/iDNO networks after training.
Work across multiple sites with a skilled team, comply with safety standards, perform risk assessments and record information using handheld devices.
We operate one of the largest streetlights contracting businesses in the UK, with a large presence in the Midlands and the North West. As well as providing new installations for most of the UK's housing developers, we also work for the majority of the local authorities in our areas. Right now, we're looking for a Highways Electrician to join our E.ON Utility Solutions team based in Rochdale.
In this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out the routine maintenance, inspection and electrical testing of street lighting and highway electrical assets across the Oldham and Rochdale Street Lighting PFI contract. You'll also support the installation, wiring and maintenance of street lighting and other highway electrical equipment, as well as undertaking fault finding, periodic electrical testing of underground cable networks and testing of individual electrical assets. Following training, you'll have the opportunity to carry out limited connections to DNO, IDNO and PCN networks.
Based primarily across the North West of England, you'll work as part of a skilled team helping to keep our street lighting infrastructure safe, reliable and operational. There may also be opportunities to support projects in other regions when required.
