Overview: As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will work in conjunction with the controller to maximise the operational availability of equipment for the customer through timely and efficient routine and preventative maintenance servicing and machine inspections. You will identify possible issues that may impact availability and carry out minor repairs as requested. You will also promote safety by servicing products in a manner that ensures safety for yourself and the customer.

This is a field-based role requiring a full driving license held for at least 2 years. Working hours are 43 hours per week with flexible start and finish times, Monday to Friday, with one Saturday in three at overtime rate.
Specific Skills: Basic knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrain, and vehicle electrics/electronics related to servicing and repair of heavy mobile plant or similar vehicles.
Accountability: Attend customer locations, perform preventive maintenance, liaise with the service controller and customer, ensure high standards and safety, complete all paperwork accurately, and maintain company vehicle and equipment.
Education and Experience: Around 3 years of direct experience or related engineering roles such as mechanic, HGV fitter, agricultural engineer, or military vehicle mechanic. Formal qualifications including at least C&G Level 1 are desirable. Further training will be provided, and opportunities for progression exist.
