• Essential: Degree in Physiotherapy; HCPC registration; NHS experience; interest in Musgrove Park Hospital; ability to manage patients; clinical reasoning and communication skills; good literacy; ability to develop rapport with patients and staff; ability to summarize treatment; cope with distress; plan and prioritise workload.

Aufgaben

• Plan and prioritise own clinical workload and service using clinical judgement and guidelines.
• Treat patients as autonomous practitioners with responsibility for clinical decisions.
• Ensure patients understand treatment and provide informed consent or work within legal frameworks.
• Complete full clinical examinations integrating information from patient, carers and records.
• Formulate clinical diagnosis and patient-centred goals with senior staff guidance.
• Select tailored physiotherapy interventions and programs from available options.
• Carry out manual physiotherapy with high precision.
• Assess and evaluate treatment effects and adapt approach as needed.
• Teach therapeutic exercises to patients and carers.
• Utilise broad range of physiotherapy techniques including respiratory therapy as appropriate.
• Participate in discharge planning and document physiotherapy elements in medical records.
• From ~3 months post-qualification, cover respiratory work during holidays/weekends and on-call rostering.
