Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team. You will work with pharmacy colleagues and the wider healthcare team to ensure high-quality, timely patient service, rotating through clinical services, dispensing, checks and reporting.

Applicants should have GPhC registration and hospital pharmacy experience, with willingness to work extended hours, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.

Qualifications

• Registration with the GPhC is required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Willingness to work extended hours including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support safe supply, dispensing and management of medicines.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses and staff for high-quality patient care.
• Check stock levels and ensure medicines are available.
• Counsel patients and staff on medicines following procedures.
• Use pharmacy IT systems to record data and generate reports.
• Participate in training and weekend/bank holiday duties.
