Job summary

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Technician on a rotational basis to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical services across the hospital. The role focuses on dispensing for TTOs and inpatients, with involvement in accuracy checking and medicines management to support ward pharmacists.

Applicants must be a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician or eligible to register, with hospital pharmacy experience and CPD evidence.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent or knowledge of pharmaceutical technical procedures acquired through training or experience.
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Evidence of CPD (continuous professional development).

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions including TTOs and inpatient/outpatient items as per safe practices.
• Assist with final accuracy checking and monitor workflow using the prescription tracker system.
• Co-operate in staff rotation within pharmacy departments and ward/outpatient areas.
