We have an exciting opportunity for a well-organised, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our technician rotation in operational services, with a keen interest in providing medicines to paediatric patients.
Applicants must be self-motivated, willing to learn and be trained. Support will be provided towards achieving the accredited checking for Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification or an in-house qualification. Attention to detail and the ability to produce work to the required standard within set deadlines are essential.
Good verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work independently within your role are important qualities.
We welcome applications from technicians working in the community, as full on-the-job training will be provided. We will also consider applications from Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians who are due to qualify this year. You must be a registered Pharmacy Technician or planning to apply for registration pending your qualification.
The role includes working in Dispensary, Homecare, Purchasing, Distribution, and Clinical Trials. During rotations, you will gain practical experience, assisting in delivering services in each section, including inpatient and outpatient dispensing, extemporaneous dispensing, patient counseling, ward top-ups, purchasing, and homecare services.
You will be expected to participate in the extended hours rota, which includes working late nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
